Mokup is a Chrome DevTools extension for frontend developers. It captures network requests in the DevTools panel and lets you create local mock responses or forward matching calls to a target you configure.
Data Mokup processes
While the Mokup DevTools panel is open, Mokup may process:
- Request URLs, HTTP methods, status codes, resource types, timing, request and response headers, and response bodies shown in the panel.
- Mock and forward rules you create, including URL patterns, methods, status codes, delays, mock response bodies, and forward targets.
- Local interface preferences such as filters, panel width, and whether mocking is enabled.
Stored locally
Rules, preferences and license state are stored locally using Chrome extension storage and browser local storage. Mokup does not operate a server that receives this data, and it does not share or sell it.
Network access
Mokup does not make external requests for analytics, tracking, advertising or cloud sync. Two kinds of outbound requests can occur, both initiated by you:
-
Forward to local. When a rule forwards a request, Mokup
sends it to the exact
http://orhttps://target you configured for that rule, typically a local development server. -
License activation. If you activate a paid license, Mokup
sends the entered license key, a local installation label and activation
metadata to Polar (
api.polar.sh) for validation. Captured requests, rules and forward targets are never sent to Polar.
User control
You can disable global mocking, disable or delete individual rules, clear the captured request log, clear the stored license, or uninstall the extension at any time. Uninstalling removes extension storage managed by Chrome.
Children
Mokup is a developer tool that is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new revision date.
